This course, designed for students in their first semester of archaeological studies, introduces students to practices in the field through a series of short excursions to local sites.  Students must successfully complete this course before enrolling in higher level archeology courses, as this course provides foundational training required to ensure that students do not damage priceless artifacts at important archaeological sites worldwide.
