A focused course on the history of Mesopotamia, from the Bronze Age (Sumer, Akkadia, Babylonia, and Assyria), through the Iron Age (Neo-Assyrian and Neo-Babylonian Empires), Achaemenid Empire, Seleucid Empire, Parthian rule, Persian rule, and ending with the Islamic conquest in the 7^th century.
